Polaris Training Group is a veteran owned and operated nonprofit that gives military and law enforcement the training their budgets will never buy, at no cost to the people who attend.
Rounds a year. Per sniper. That is the annual training allotment for a working sniper. A recreational shooter burns more than that in a single afternoon. This is the gap we exist to close, and it is national.
The problem
The training that fixes this already exists and is sold on the open market. What it costs an individual to go get it:
- About $2,500 per course, before travel
- About $1,500 in ammunition to shoot it
- Thousands more in required equipment
Well-funded special operations and federal units buy it every year. Regular military units and small-town agencies, doing the same job, cannot reach it.
What we do
Five-day courses on 1,500 acres of private New Mexico high desert. Ten to twelve officers per cohort, aiming for one cohort a month.
- Precision marksmanship, wind, ballistics, and tradecraft
- Special operations veterans teaching alongside our instructors
- Travel, lodging, meals, equipment, and ammunition all covered
- Recovery, nutrition, and sleep taught as part of the curriculum
What sponsorship buys
- A cohort. Underwrite an entire five-day course, start to finish.
- A discipline. Back one part of the curriculum across the year.
- The line. Fund ammunition, which is the constraint everything else waits behind.
- Recognition to an audience that does not respond to ordinary sponsorship
- Short video from each cohort you underwrite, cleared for your use
- A direct line to the people running it, not an account manager
In kind works too
A single large lot of ammunition from a manufacturer or distributor does more for a training calendar than scattered small shipments. Quality glass, packs, and equipment stay with the program. Ammunition and firearms carry handling rules and paperwork, and we work those out properly as part of the conversation.
Who runs it
Founders are all military veterans with combat experience. The board is former special operations personnel, senior members of the intelligence community, and veteran law enforcement officers with deep training backgrounds: former USMC Scout Snipers, US Army, FBI, and agency investigators. Names are withheld because several still work in roles where a public profile is a liability.
